Sunday night the Aggies reeled in their first commitment in that class, as four-star point guard J.J. Caldwell verbally committed to the SEC program according to Scout.com.

The 6-foot-1 Caldwell attends Cypress Woods HS in Cypress, Texas, and he’s playing his grassroots basketball for the Houston Defenders program. Through eight games in Under Armour Association play this spring Caldwell’s averaging 9.1 points and 6.9 assists per game for the Defenders.
