Five-star 2016 shooting guard commits to Michigan State

Already holding one pledge in the Class of 2016 in the form of four-star power forward Nick Ward, Michigan State received a second commitment in the form of one of the top players in the class Monday morning.

According to Reggie Rankin of ESPN.com, five-star shooting guard Josh Langford has verbally committed to Tom Izzo’s program. The Madison, Alabama native, who plays his grassroots basketball for the Atlanta Celtics program, made the decision just days after taking his official visit to the Big Ten program.

In leading Madison Academy to a state title this past season, Langford averaged 24.
