Virtual college football will apparently be back before real college football.
The EA Sports College Football page on X updated its profile on Thursday to say "Coming this summer. Full reveal in May."
That can only mean one thing, as the long-awaited video game series will be back before the 2024 campaign kicks off in August. The last version of the game was NCAA Football 14, so fans have been eagerly awaiting its return in the era of name, image and likeness rules in college football.
EA Sports first revealed the eventual return in February 2021 to much fanfare:
In January, Brandon Marcello of 247Sports reported the new college football game will be built on the same engine as EA Sports' Madden franchise.
