After Alabama went up by 24-14 on a 68-yard pass play, Clemson answered with a 72-yard drive consisting mostly of shortish passes from Deshaun Watson. It finished with a 4-yard pass from Watson to his favorite target all year, Mike Williams.
Watson was up to 294 yards passing.
