Blindsided: Why Oregon didn't see the debacle vs. Utah coming

EUGENE, Ore. — Oregon defensive coordinator Don Pellum left work last Wednesday night and felt good about how the Ducks were approaching their impending game against Utah.

"I went home thinking this was going to be a slugfest, this is going to be good," he said. "They're a good, physical team, and this is going to be what it's supposed to be."

Oregon senior left tackle Tyler Johnstone remembers weeks, such as the one leading up to the Ducks' 2013 loss at Arizona, when he had a feeling in the back of his mind that the team might lose.
