Did an active offseason make the Los Angeles Clippers favorites to win the West?
After finishing the regular season with a 56-26 record and defeating the San Antonio Spurs in seven games in the first round of the playoffs, the Los Angeles Clippers’ hopes of representing the Western Conference in the NBA Finals were suddenly in reach. The Clippers then carried that momentum into their conference semifinals matchup against the Houston Rockets, where they took a 3-1 series lead. In an unfortunate turn of events, the Rockets came back to win the series, and ultimately left the Clippers organization with a lot of tough decisions to make during the upcoming offseason.
