Karl-Anthony Towns Is Perfect For Today's NBA

USA Today Sports - Stephen R. Sylvanie

Karl-Anthony Towns has a good chance to become the poster child of the NBA.

It’s not the first time that the Timberwolves have selected a high draft pick that was supposed to turn their fortune around. In 2011 Derrick Williams was supposed to be the real deal as the No. 2 pick; 2008, 2009 and 2010 all included top five picks in Kevin Love, Ricky Rubio and Wesley Johnson, respectively, with Love being the only successful one, even though the team never enjoyed success with him around.

So by taking Karl-Anthony Towns with the first overall pick in the 2015 NBA draft, it might just seem like par for the course for the Wolves.
