Aldridge to return vs. Mavs after 2 games out

SAN ANTONIO -- Spurs power forward LaMarcus Aldridge makes his return to the court Wednesday night when the team hosts the Dallas Mavericks at the AT&T Center.

The club held out Aldridge for its last two outings due to a sprained left ankle suffered Nov. 20 in a loss at New Orleans, but Spurs coach Gregg Popovich said the power forward will play against the Mavericks.

Aldridge averaged a career-high 23.4 points and 10.2 rebounds last season as a Portland Trail Blazer, where he spent the first nine years of his career, before signing in July with the Spurs as a free agent.
