When Navy head coach Ken Niumatalolo walked into the interview room on Saturday evening, a contingent of fans gave him a rousing ovation.
"Thank you for the applause, but I didn't do anything. That was the players," Niumatalolo told the assembled audience.
That is typical Niumatalolo, who remains one of the most humble head coaches in America despite his growing list of accomplishments.
Niumatalolo and his staff continue to set the bar higher and higher with each passing season. Navy football is doing remarkable things that would have been unimaginable not too many years ago.
