Holy Cross dominates possession, upsets Navy

It was the perfect storm for a Holy Cross upset of Navy in men's lacrosse. Literally.

The Crusaders executed their game-plan of controlling possession perfectly, helped in large part by heavy rain and sloppy play by the host Midshipmen.

Senior attackman Sean Kirkpatrick and senior midfielder Kevin Lux combined to produce 11 points as fifth-seeded Holy Cross knocked off No. 4 Navy, 11-7, in the quarterfinals of the Patriot League Tournament. Kirkpatrick scored four goals and dished off an assist while Lux totaled two goals and four assists for the Crusaders, who earned the first postseason victory in program history.
