Heading into spring practice, head coach Ken Niumatalolo declared fullback depth as one of his greatest concerns.
The Midshipmen had a reliable returning starter in rising senior Chris High and a big bunch of question marks behind him. Rising junior Anthony Garguilo was the only other fullback with varsity playing experience and he appeared in just three games and received only nine carries.
"I think Coach Niumatalolo's concerns at the position were warranted.
