NAVY WOMEN'S SOCCER: Navy (5-7-2, 2-1-1 Patriot League) and Holy Cross (1-8-2, 0-1-2 PL) ended 110 minutes of play in a 2-2 double-overtime draw on Sunday at the Glenn Warner Soccer Facility.
In the 31st minute, Navy senior Rachel Feldman took a pass from Anabell Motley and sent a liner past Holy Cross goalkeeper Brooke Holle to the far post to give Navy a 1-0 lead. It was her third goal in the last two games.
Holy Cross responded in the 40th minute to tie the game. With the score still even in the 66th minute, Navy senior defender Cat Macklin sent a pass through two Holy Cross defenders to the foot of teammate Karli Sottung, who took the pass in stride into the box and struck a low shot past the goaltender for the go-ahead score.
