NAVY SPRINT FOOTBALL: Senior quarterback Nick Deterding had a standout performance versus Cornell over the weekend and was rewarded on Tuesday with the honor of Collegiate Sprint Football League Offensive Player of the Week.
A two-time honoree in 2015, Deterding got the 2016 season started off fast for the Midshipmen with a hand in all six of the team's touchdowns in a dominant 40-7 road victory over Cornell on Saturday. An all-around threat, he went 11-of-15 for 191 yards and four touchdowns through the air, while running for 136 yards and two touchdowns on 12 carries.
