NAVY MEN'S SOCCER: Sophomore center back Ericson Bean scored the game-winning goal in Navy's (2-3-1) 1-0 win over Saint Joseph's (2-4-0) in men's soccer on Saturday evening at Sweeney Field.
"This was a good road win," said first-year head coach Tim O'Donohue. "We had to grind it out tonight. We started out playing very well and scored early. Then they pressed us up pretty high, but we were able to manage the game and get a win."
Senior Sam Bascom sent a corner kick from the left side to the far post where Bean headed the ball back across the goal in the 34th minute for the game's lone goal.
