The Predators announced today they've re-signed Cody Bass to a two year, two-way extension worth $575,000 at the NHL level and $150,000 at the AHL level in 2016-17, and $650,000 at the NHL level and $150,000 at the AHL level in 2017-18. While he's mostly known amongst my fellow bloggerazzi as the guy who hurt himself trying to lay a hit in the first round, he's almost entirely a depth leadership signing for the AHL affiliate.
He isn't going to make any noise at the NHL level. But on the bright side, he actually won some faceoffs in the playoffs and isn't commanding much of a paycheck.
