It’s easy to know when the Nashville Predators have a home game in Smashville. The streets of downtown become filled with Gold as the fans make their way to the Bridgestone Arena to cheer on their beloved Preds. It doesn’t matter if the game is marquee match-up or a team of lesser interest – the fans show up.
With the recent success of the Preds making their deepest run in the history of the organization, support for the team is exploding. However, it hasn’t always been this way. During the Preds’ inaugural season, fan attendance average just about 16,000 fans per game with the following season drawing a similar number.
