Nashville Predators 1, Dallas Stars 2: Rinne Not Enough, Spezza Wins It

Speed, speed, and more speed. For those that watched this game, their necks might be sore from the constant game of pinball they played watching two of the fastest teams in the NHL battle back-and-forth.

The Stars spent much of the first period in the Nashville zone with unrelenting pressure and an attack that did not quit. The Stars outshot the Predators 16-4 in the first period but Pekka Rinne was able to keep the Stars from scoring.

The second period saw the two clubs trade goals; Adam Cracknell got Dallas on the board while Nashville’s goal came on the power play from the captain Mike Fisher.
