Avs’ Rantanen in protocol, won’t play vs. Stars
Avs forward Mikko Rantanen will have his consecutive games streak end at 161 as he’ll miss Sunday’s game vs. the Stars while in concussion protocol.
Rough news for the Avalanche, and of course for Rantanen. I’m glad they’re not prioritizing a game streak over his long-term safety, though.
Senators win in overtime after Capitals blow late lead
Charlie Lindgren allowed three goals on 21 shots, the last by Jake Sanderson in overtime and the Washington Capitals lost a sixth consecutive game, a 3-2 defeat to the Ottawa Senators on Sunday night that’s yet another blow to their playoff hopes late in the NHL season.
