Former New Mexico basketball forward Hugh Greenwood, who was with the Lobos from 2012-2015, made his mark felt on the rugby field Saturday.
Greenwood, who averaged 11.6 points and 5.3 rebounds in his senior season with UNM, just completed his first game with the Adelaide Crows. Born in Hobart, Tasmania, Greenwood grew familiar with both football and basketball as a child. He was named the Australian Junior Basketball Male Player of the Year in 2008 and later signed with Craig Neal and the New Mexico Lobos in 2011.
After graduating and finishing on the Mountain West third team in 2015, Greenwood pursued a professional basketball career.
