According to many reports, the 29-year-old Greek midfielder could be on his way to the Montreal Impact very soon.
The Greek international is currently under contract with Serie A club Udinese Calcio he was then loaned out to Italian club Fiorentina where he didn't play much soccer due to injury. Kone mostly plays as a central midfielder but can sometimes play right wing or the attacking midfield role.
Panagiotis Kone has also played for Joey Saputo's Bologna where he played under former Montreal Impact’s striker Marco Di Vaio.
