After the Montreal Impact's 3-2 win over Toronto FC, in the home leg of the Eastern Conference final, the club asked fans to stay after the final whistle, for a special ceremony.
That ceremony would end up being a farewell to Didier Drogba, as it was the last home game for the club and the legend.
Surrounded by his teammates, staff and president Joey Saputo, Drogba gave a heartfelt speech, thanking the city for 18 months of great memories.
Though, the story could have done without the bump on the road when Drogba, unhappy to be on the bench against Toronto FC at the end of the season, took himself off the game sheet.
