Montreal Stars Player Profile: Chelsey Saunders

Chelsey Saunders was drafted in the fourth round (20th overall) by the Montreal Stars at the 2014 CWHL Player Entry Draft. She scored one goal and two assists in 19 games in her rookie year last season.

Prior to the start of her CWHL career, the Ottawa native spent the bulk of her playing time up front. A left winger with the McGill University Martlets for four years, Saunders helped he alma mater win two national championships in 2011 and 2014, all the while obtaining a degree in kinesiology.

Saunders stands at 5'6", enjoys baking, country music, and the Reese Witherspoon romantic comedy Sweet Home Alabama.
