Les Canadiennes see nine-game win streak snapped in split with Toronto Furies

One day after a 7-3 win, Les Canadiennes saw their nine-game winning streak come to an end with a 3-2 loss to the Toronto Furies on Sunday at the Mastercard Centre. Amanda Makela was outstanding for her first win of the season, making 28 saves against the team she was a part of last season.

It was the first time Montreal lost on the road this season. Catherine Herron allowed two goals on four shots in the first period before being pulled.

Toronto opened the scoring when Brittany Zuback beat Herron with a shot close to the net just 1:58 into the game to give the Furies the 1-0 lead for the second straight game.
