Liveblog: Tampa Bay 4 – Canadiens 1 after two

The hissing sound you hear in downtown Montreal is energy draining out of the Bell Centre.

After the Canadiens dominated the beginning of the game and went ahead on Jeff Petry’s first career playoff goal, Tampa Bay scored four unanswered to take control.

Valteri Filppula scored on a power-play in the last minute of the first period to start the comeback.

Steven Stamkos, who hadn’t scored in 11 playoff games, broke away against lead-footed Andrei Markov to give the visitors the lead eight minutes into the second period.

Power play goals by Nikita Kucherov and Victor Hedman  both clinical, neither stoppable – put the offensively challenged Canadiens in a very deep and probably inescapable hole.
