Simon Marcus: 'I'm still the best in the division regardless of who has the belt'

BROOMFIELD, Colo.--Simon Marcus broke Dustin Jacoby's left arm at GLORY 34 on Friday (October 21, 2016), rendering him unable to continue after the first round, which resulted in him winning the bout via technical knockout (TKO) inside 1STBANK Center.

So just how many arms has the No.1-ranked GLORY middleweight broken during his career?

"Maybe three," Marcus says, before breaking into laughter. The Canadian-Jamaican veteran landed the bone-breaking kick on Jacoby's arm about halfway through the opening round, and he said he knew it was broken once he landed it.

"When I hit him with that kick I saw him drop his arm and shake it out, so I kept a mental note it was hurt," Marcus said.
