The most victorious competitors in jiu-jitsu history will meet one more time in Brazil.
Roger Gracie and Marcus “Buchecha" Almeida, who fought to a draw in the first edition of Metamoris in 2012, will face off again at Gracie Pro 2017 on July 23 at Carioca Arena 1. It was one of the venues built for the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro.
Unlike the first match, which was under a 20-minute, submission-only rule set, the rematch is a 10-minute match under IBJJF rules.
“I'm excited to fight in my hometown after such a long time,” Roger Gracie told MMA Fighting.
