Murthel ‘The Predator' Groenhart achieved a lot of success when he dropped to lightweight, including his winning of the 2012 K-1 WORLD MAX tournament. But recently his results have been more mixed and now, tired of making huge weight cuts, the Amsterdam man is back at welterweight and gunning for the top spot.
Groenhart's return to welterweight will take place at GLORY 23 LAS VEGAS on Friday, August 8. He faces the rising UK talent Chad ‘2Slick' Sugden, who debuted at GLORY 20 DUBAI earlier this year with a win over the more experienced Arslan Atakar.
What is particularly interesting about having Groenhart back at 170lbs is his bitter rivalry with Nieky ‘The Natural' Holzken.
