Jon Jones and Dan Henderson never did fight at the doommed UFC 151 event, but they will square off in the headliner of Submission Underground’s second offering on Dec. 11.
Chael Sonnen, the event’s promoter, announced the matchup during "The MMA Hour” on Monday. Submission Underground 2 takes place at Roseland Theater in Portland, Ore., on Dec. 11. Jones vs. Henderson will be an eight-minute grappling match contested under Eddie Bravo Invitational rules, which is a submission-only format.
The announcement came shortly after USADA revealed that Jones would be suspended for one year for failing an out-of-competition drug test ahead of UFC 200 on June 16.
