Jon Jones Released from Jail After Posting $2,500 Bond

UFC light heavyweight champion Jon Jones was released from the Bernalillo Metropolitan Detention Center in Albuquerque, N.M., late Monday night after posting a $2,500 bond.

Jones turned himself in to Albuquerque police a few hours earlier after a warrant was issued for his arrest in relation to a hit-and-run car accident that occurred on Sunday.

Jones allegedly ran a red light, hitting another vehicle and forced it into another car. After the accident, the UFC champion fled the scene. He was originally going to be charged with a misdemeanor, but that charge was later upgraded to a felony since he left the scene of an accident that resulted in an injury.
