At UFC 188 back on June 13, 2015, then-UFC heavyweight interim champ Fabricio Werdum took on undisputed champion Cain Velasquez in a title unification bout in the main event of the card. That night in Mexico City, Werdum became the first and only man to submit Velasquez, thus becoming the UFC heavyweight champion.
Now, almost three years later and having lost the belt, Werdum will take on Alexander Volkov in the main event of Saturday’s UFC London (UFC Fight Night 127), which is set to go down at The O2 Arena in London, England.
