In August 2017, Sergio Da Silva, 31, was arrested for his alleged role in the robbery of a Citibank in Astoria, Queens, NY. That robbery occurred on August 27th and saw over $45,000 in cash being seized by a masked man who threatened to “shoot everybody” in the bank.

Da Silva, who was dubbed a “lousy MMA fighter” by the New York Post, owns a professional record of 6-9. His last professional fight was a submission loss to Matthew Rizzo at Bellator NYC: Sonnen vs. Silva.

At that event Da Silva is best remembered for his antics during the official weigh-in, where it appeared he tried to cheat the NYSAC scale.
