Can’t a man catch a break?
It’s only been a few hours since Dustin Poirier’s five-round slugfest with Dan Hooker at UFC on ESPN 12, but Ariel Helwani is already thinking about ‘The Diamond’s’ next matchup.
Helwani said he would like to see Poirier face Ferguson following his hard-fought unanimous decision win over Hooker but the top-three UFC lightweight isn’t ready to start thinking about his next opponent just yet.
“Damn!! Let me rest bruh!!!” Poirier responded to Helwani.
Poirier vs. Hooker was crowned UFC on ESPN 12’s Fight of the Night and both men walked away with a $50,000 post-fight bonus.
