Driver who killed Jordan Parsons sentenced to 10 years in prison for DUI manslaughter

Per The Palm Beach Post, Dennis Michael Wright was sentenced to 10 years in prison on Wednesday after pleading guilty to DUI manslaughter for his involvement in the May 1, 2016, hit-and-run incident in Delray Beach, Fla., that resulted in Parson’s undergoing multiple surgeries and an amputation of his right leg before succumbing to his injuries three days later.

Upon completion of his sentence, Wright, 31, will be on probation for an additional 10 years, is forbidden from consuming alcohol, and he will undergo substance-abuse treatment.

Wright will also be required to always keep a photo of Parsons with him.
