Dejdamrong Sor Amnuaysirichoke won his fair share of tournaments and titles during a glittering Muay Thai career, but the 36-year-old striker says winning the inaugural ONE strawweight belt last month was his single greatest achievement.
"In Muay Thai the competition is very high, but only people in Thailand watch your fights. People all over the world watch ONE and everywhere I go in Singapore now I get stopped by people who recognize me because I am an MMA champion. This win was very important because I was able to show everyone how strong fighters from Thailand are."
Dejdamrong trained MMA for the first time in early 2014 and made his pro debut in June of last year.
