Bellator MMA’s heavyweight tournament semifinal fights will take place on consecutive nights in two different cities.
With Matt Mitrione vs. Ryan Bader already finalized for October 12th in Connecticut, Newsday and ESPN have now confirmed that the big showdown between the legendary Fedor Emelianenko and Chael Sonnen will take place on October 13th at the Nassau Coliseum on Long Island, New York.
Fedor (37-5, 1 NC) won his quarterfinal bout with a first-round TKO of Frank Mir, which doubled as his first Bellator MMA victory. Sonnen (31-15-1) defeated Rampage Jackson in the tournament opener way back in January.
