RSL: Real wins again on the road with mid-season-preseason behind them

The 2017 season has been a bumpy ride for Real Salt Lake. Injuries, call-ups, roster transition, and a coaching change have all been well noted, but now finally things seem to be coming together for the Claret & Cobalt, and not a moment too soon. Following their 6-2 beatdown of the Los Angeles Galaxy on the road and their impressive outing against historic English side, Manchester United, RSL impressed on their visit to Providence Park, handing the Timbers a 4-1 loss at home.

The timing of Real’s improvement is slightly ironic. In 2016, RSL started the year looking like one of the top teams in the league and kept that form until an international break late in the summer.
