There are some familiar faces in this week’s player honors, including one of the United States Women’s National Team’s stars.
Player of the Week
Christen Press of the Chicago Red Stars earned the NWSL Player of the Week honor as she produced a goal and an assist in the Red Stars 3-1 win over the North Carolina Courage.
Press has scored a total of two goals this season. She is tied for sixth in the NWSL Golden Boot race.
With two goals in six appearances, Press is on pace to better her goal total from last season, where she scored eight goals in 14 appearances.
