In a recent interview with The Associated Press, new UEFA president Aleksander Cerferin said that he would revive the bidding process to host the Champions League final and would be open to New York putting in a bid. This would be the first time that the final would be held outside of Europe.
One of the reasons for him opening it up to New York is the travel time
