This year’s contestants feature the 2016 Spring Champions, Indy Eleven, the Fall Champions, New York Cosmos, FC Edmonton, and Rayo OKC.
The Cosmos and Indy Eleven have been dominant throughout the entirety of this NASL season, warranting them deserving spots in the Spring and Fall Seasons. Snatching up 3rd and 4th place in the combined standings for this year’s postseason are FC Edmonton and Rayo OKC.
In Edmonton this season, it seemed the team was sure of one thing, defense. Between both the Spring and Fall Seasons (32 games), Edmonton only gave up 21 goals. From July 31 – September 2, the Eddies had a 536 minute shutout streak.
