There’s been a common misperception over the last few seasons that Stephen Strasburg is always hurt. Since he made his Major League debut back in 2010, Strasburg has had four significant injuries, including tearing his UCL as a rookie.
Injuries have impacted Strasburg’s career, no doubt, as he’s logged just one 200+ inning season in his career. But the idea that he’s always hurt is a bit of an exaggeration.
In fact, the former No. 1 overall pick has made at least 23 starts in each of the past four seasons, and led the league with 34 starts in 2014.
