Reports: Carlos Beltran agrees to one-year deal with Astros

Carlos Beltran has agreed to a one-year deal to rejoin the Houston Astros, according to multiple reports.

The deal, worth $16 million, was first reported by ESPN’s Buster Olney, who adds that it includes a full no-trade clause.

Beltran, 39, played for the Astros in 2004, helping lead them to the World Series with a torrid playoff hitting streak after they acquired him mid-season. He left for the Mets in the ensuing off-season.

Playing in the outfield and as a DH, Beltran hit .295 with 29 home runs and 93 RBIs last season with the Yankees and Rangers.
