Report: Yankees agree to one-year, $13 million deal with Matt Holliday

The Yankees have agreed to terms on a one-year, $13 million deal with outfielder Matt Holliday, Jon Heyman of Today’s Knuckleball reports.

WFAN’s Sweeny Murti first reported that the sides were close.

Holliday, 36, helps the Yankees fill a void left at DH after the club shipped Brian McCann to the Houston Astros. He has spent the past eight seasons in St. Louis, hitting .293 during his time there. The righthanded hitter has slugged at least 20 home runs in six of his last seven seasons.

At the moment, New York is set with Brett Gardner, Jacoby Ellsbury and Aaron Judge in its outfield.
