Indians second baseman Jason Kipnis plans to play through a sprained his left ankle in the World Series, which he suffered during a postgame celebration in the ALCS. Judging by photos posted on Tuesday, hours before the series would begin, the injury is quite painful.
Kipnis rolled his ankle last Wednesday when he celebrated with Francisco Lindor on the field after the final out in Game 5 of the ALCS agains the Blue Jays. He tweeted out a photo which showed the exact moment he sustained what the team is calling a low ankle sprain.
