Ken Griffey Jr. Recreates 1989 Rookie Card in Macklemore's 'Downtown' Video

Seattle native Macklemore just gave Seattle Mariners fans—and all baseball fans—a huge dose of nostalgia.

For their "Downtown" music video, Macklemore and Ryan Lewis got retired slugger Ken Griffey Jr. to recreate his 1989 rookie card photo. Griffey's appearance comes around the one-minute, 40-second mark. (Warning: Video contains profanity.)

Now baseball fans everywhere are wishing they could watch the future Hall of Famer play for the next 22 years.

Griffey hit 630 home runs in his career, spending 13 years with the Mariners, eight-plus seasons with the Cincinnati Reds and a half-season with the Chicago White Sox.
