In The End, the Blue Jays Remembered How To Fly

Having staved off elimination, the Blue Jays remind us why they were AL favorites all along, while making baseball as appealing as ever.

On October 14, 1492, Christopher Columbus landed in the Bahamas. On that same day in 1774, American patriots crafted the Declaration of Colonial Rights. Amazingly enough, the 14th of October in 1908 saw Chicago celebrate the most recent Cubs’ World Series win. Yesterday, October 14, 2015, will be ushered into history as one of baseball’s most triumphant, important, and polarizing days.

For that, we tip the cap to the Blue Jays, a team that proved its mettle on the brink of elimination, but more importantly, put on a show that the sport was in desperate need of.
