Charlie Sheen Puts Babe Ruth World Series Ring, Red Sox Document Up for Auction

Actor Charlie Sheen is about to make two historical pieces of MLB memorabilia available to auction.

According to Darren Rovell of ESPN.com, "Sheen told ESPN on Monday that he consigned Babe Ruth's 1927 World Series ring and an original copy of the sale document that sent The Bambino from the Boston Red Sox to the New York Yankees to auction house Lelands.com."

"I've enjoyed these incredible items for more than two decades and the time has come," Sheen said. "Whatever price it brings is gravy."

According to Rovell, bids for the ring are already over $600,000, while the document "has surpassed $400,000.
