If experience matters, Mets bench coach Bob Geren could have a leg up on the open managerial job for the Los Angeles Dodgers.
Geren, who the Mets granted permission last week to pursue the job formerly held by Don Mattingly, had his interview with the Dodgers according to Marc Carig of Newsday.
His competition for the job at this point are Gabe Kapler, Dave Roberts and Darin Erstad, neither of whom have any managerial experience at the big league level.
