Jung Ho Kang was a highly coveted major league prospect out of the Korean Baseball Organization, after posting some unreal numbers last season, when he hit .356 with 40 homeruns and 117 RBIs for the Nexen Heroes.

Those numbers got the attention of major league teams, and the Pirates were able to land the shortstop/ third baseman, signing him to a four year deal worth $11 million.
