Updated at 8:55 a.m.

Mizzou defensive end Nate Howard has been suspended indefinitely by Tigers coach Barry Odom after the junior was arrested by campus police late Wednesday night. Howard faces multiple charges, including possession of a controlled substance.

The Boone County Jail's booking website shows Howard faces charges of possession of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana and no vehicle registration.

UMPD spokesman spokesman Capt. Brian Weimer told the Post-Dispatch more information will be available later Thursday morning.

"We are aware of the situation, and are addressing it internally. Nate is suspended indefinitely," Mizzou spokesman Chad Moller told the Post-Dispatch.
