Missouri coach Barry Odom said LSU’s Leonard Fournette “runs angry,” meaning Mizzou’s defense will have to turn up its intensity Saturday night in Baton Rouge.
Odom pointed to Fournette’s aggressive running style during his press conference before Missouri’s trip to Tiger Stadium.
The first-year Missouri coach said Fournette, a 235-pounder, runs like a 260-pound back and dishes out shots against defenders rather than taking them.
“He runs angry. … It presents a great opportunity for our defense to line up and see what we can do,” Odom said.
While Fournette carries the ball, Odom said LSU fullback John David Moore “makes them go” with his powerful lead blocking.
